  • This is a cab view of the JR Sobu Main Line, between Ichikawa Station and Tsudanuma Station. I previously uploaded a cab view of the same route, from Akihabara Station on the downtown side to Ichikawa Station at • 前面展望 総武緩行線秋葉原→市川 <cabv... . This is a sequel, and the train I'm riding is the same.
The Sobu Main Line was built with the aim of connecting the downtown area of Chiba Prefecture with Choshi City, located at the eastern end. There were several plans for where to place the eastern terminal, but Choshi City was ultimately chosen. Choshi City has a fishing port, flourished as a soy sauce production area, and developed into one of the leading cities in Chiba Prefecture.
The section of the Sobu Main Line up to Chiba Station has a strong urban commuter line color. This area is low-lying and flat, so development has been progressing since ancient times. Since it is a region far from the city center, there are few high-rise buildings, and like other city lines, this line has the appearance of a canyon in the city, but the valley does not seem to be very deep.
This time, I am riding on the Sobu local line. The Sobu rapid line runs parallel to the left side of the track, and the train overtakes it. February 2024

I have been on this line a few times, normally as a squashed passenger standing sideways somewhere in the middle of the train! To get this wonderful view out of the cab is such a luxury! Thanks for sharing.

It's a shame that the drivers have this view all to themselves. However, they can only run in the same place. I have a friend who is a train driver, and he said, "I want to be a freelance driver."

Very nice tram ride with great image quality - especially because the right-hand area is not covered by traction technology!
In a train station along the way, some "trainspotting" colleagues can be seen at the end of the platform... so it's also a popular hobby in Japan 😊

As you say, that place is a terrace with a great environment. The only drawback is that it is a little difficult for elderly people to enter. There are no advance tickets.

One more of your neat video's. A four track line with dedicated local and express tracks and stations. And busy, too. The lineside views are pleasantly different from most of your four track line videos, being mostly residential urban scenes, rather than "canyon" scenes. I enjoyed the "ride." ❤😂🎉

Thank you for your comment. There are many unique train lines in Japan, so I would like to introduce them one by one. Viewers may get bored with just the cab view, so I would like to take pictures of the station as well. The number of hits will probably be small (^^;, but I think it will be a good record.
